Aleksandra Ellert-Miklaszewska PhD

Biography:

I graduated from and obtained my PhD in pharmaceutical sciences at the Medical University of Warsaw, Faculty of Pharmacy. My PhD project was carried out in frame of Postgraduate School of Molecular Medicine in collaboration with the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology and was supported by the grants from National Science Center (PhD grant) and from Polish Pharmacy and Medicine Development Foundation Polpharma S.A.

Research interest:

My current research is focused on brain tumor cells-derived signals, which re-program infiltrating immune cells including microglia into tumor supportive cells. This mechanism of modification of tumor microenvironment significantly contributes to glioma pathology.
